What does a vibration motor do?

A vibration motor is an electronic device that produces vibration or oscillation for use in

a variety of applications, such as in cell phones, game controllers, and other electronic

devices. The vibration motor contains an offset weight that rotates rapidly, causing the

motor to shake. When a voltage is applied to the motor, the offset weight begins to spin,

generating the vibration. The size and strength of the vibration can be adjusted by

varying the speed of the motor or the weight of the spinning weight. The motor is often

used as an alert mechanism, providing tactile feedback to the user when a notification or

alert is received.
